LOVE this bottle for running, but take note that not all pouches are the same size
I purchased one of these Nathan water bottles over 2 years ago, and it’s my favorite bottle by far For running. The hand grip allows you to carry the bottle without having to actually “hold” onto it. I’ve taken this bottle on many a long training run, and it’s gotten me through a few half marathons as well. I have had zero leaking issues, and I love that I don’t have to pull or yank or unscrew anything to drink. I can take a nice big swig with this bottle (I hate bottles that trickle out water, or that I have to bite down to drink through a straw). This bottle is awesome in every way. NOTE: listing says bottle holds 18oz. This is not true. I used a measuring cup and 16oz of water filled it to the very brim.
Buy this now! You won’t regret it!
I LOVE THIS THING! Honestly, I was super nervous about having anything in my hands while running. I run with my dogs attached to a hands-free belt system and I was scared of not being able to grab their harnesses if I needed to. The beauty of this water bottle is that you still can kinda use that hand for such a thing. I bought this for my first 10K (I know, it’s not as amazing as a marathon or anything, but I’ll get there…) and it worked AWESOME! The race cap was great! I’ve ran longer distances not in a race setting and I’m telling you that I didn’t know what I was missing. Running and staying hydrated makes running soooo much easier! I have small hands and I was also worried about this thing weighing my hand/arm down, but it is perfectly designed so that you barely notice it there even when it’s full and has your phone in the pocket. Also it is SUPER easy to switch hands while running. As some reviewers have said, there was a plastic-y taste in the beginning but after using a bottle brush and some dish soap on it you won’t taste it anymore. LOVE LOVE LOVE this thing! Can’t wait to use it on my next run!
I love this water bottle
I love this water bottle! It holds my phone and a key (but beware that not all of the colors have the same size pouch – I’m glad that I read that in other reviews). I usually use a fuel belt when it’s warm out, but being pregnant, this is no longer an option. I thought that holding a bottle would be really annoying, but it’s pretty comfortable, and I don’t mind it with this bottle. However, the water doesn’t stay very cold (not that it does with a fuel belt).
really like it!
I purchased this water bottle for a trail 10k race I was running. I really, really like it!!!! I had never held anything in my hands before for running or anything like that apart from occasionally carrying my cell phone. It was really nice, it did not leak, it has a mouth wide enough to add ice as needed, and the pocket is big enough to add almost anything you want. I am not a big fan of my hydration belt, and this was a nice alternative.
Good but not perfect
I ordered 2 of these for my husband and I to use during our half marathon training. I love how they strap onto your hand but they both leak a little while running. I’m going to order new tops and see if that fixes the problem. It’s not bad enough to soak us but in cooler weather its enough to make my hand cold! The pocket is large enough to hold my iPhone 7 (with no case), license and debit card which I love because most of my running pants/shorts have no pockets. Even with the leaking I would recommend this hydration pack because the pros definitely outweigh the cons!
Great Addition to Your Long Runs
This is my new go-to bottle for long runs.
Great water bottle, but some small percentage seem to leak.
Love this water bottle! It was one of those things that I didn’t think I needed and/or wouldn’t use, but use it every run.
I love these and would give it 5 stars, but it leaked. Amazon replaced it and that fixed the issue, but it still seems termpermental and sometimes leaks easily if you do not put the lid on tight enough or the right way. I like them and would buy again, just can’t give 5 stars.
I have been running since I was in high school, just recently started getting serious about it again.
