For a while my 9 year old daughter had been wearing a regular adult Garmin tracker and it was comically big on her wrist. It’s great that Garmin has put out a JR version of their tracker, and it’s more than just smaller.
It’s okay, but most of the functions are only accessible from the smart phone.

Seems to work okay, thought the synching is a little troublesome and often requires me to put the device in synching mode to get it to synch. You must use the app to pair it with your BT, not the BT settings on your phone. Our first one started to loose pixels after about 6 months of use. Contacted Garmin, and they replaced it under warranty. I had to pay for postage one way, and we were without it for about a week.
Keep an eye on the band & spend the extra money for screen protectors
My 7 year old daughter LOVES her new Vivofit Jr. It really encourages her to get off her butt and move. I have another brand of fitness watch so she is really envious of the features that my watch has & hers doesn’t (heart rate, hourly reminders to move, stair count, etc). I explained to her that hers is half the price of mine and made for kids. Two features the Vivofit Jr. has that I am envious of? 1. Vivofit doesn’t need to be charged, and 2. Vivofits Jr. is waterproof so she can wear hers in the shower & when she goes swimming.
Good fitness tracker for active young kids

I bought this for my 7-year-old son for Christmas and overall have been very pleased with it.
Fun for 7 yo boy

This is a fun activity tracker for my 7 year old boy. Fits him great – he hasn’t taken it off since we received it a week ago! I love that it doesn’t need to be charged!!
It didn’t like to sync easily but we don’t care about that …
My 7 1/2 year old boy LOVES this watch. He got it on Christmas and wears it 24/7. It fits his wrist without a lot of wiggle room but he doesn’t care. I do wish I would have gotten the plastic screen protectors because it has gotten a little scratched. But that is just normal wear and tear. No pixel problems. No battery problems yet. We do not use the app. It didn’t like to sync easily but we don’t care about that so we didn’t try to figure out the problem. He likes it for the clock, stopwatch, step count, activity goal, and “big kid” feel. I probably could have gotten a cheaper fitness tracker, especially since I don’t use the app but he is happy so we are happy. So far so good but it has only been a couple months.
